Powr Labs™ Armband Heart Rate Monitor Pairing
Before you get to enjoy all the awesomeness of your Powr Labs™ Armband Heart Rate Monitor, you need to survive one pesky step: pairing your heart rate monitor to the App (bluetooth) or Device (ANT+) of your choice.
Luckily we've built a comprehensive set of instructions for the known apps and devices that are field tested by us and our customers.
***USING YOUR HEART RATE MONITOR***
- Turn On: To activate your armband heart rate monitor, press the start-up button logo on the front of the unit. The purple LED light will blink slowly to indicate it is working properly.
- Pairing:
- Positioning: Wear along your forearm or upper arm. Strap should be firmly attached, without cutting off circulation or causing discomfort.
- Charging: Plug the USB-A connected into a laptop or wall adaptor (not included). Place the heart rate monitor into the charging dock, ensuring both charging prongs are attached. It will take about 1.5 hours to charge and the green light will indicate a full charge. If your armband heart rate monitor is low on battery, a red LED light will be on.
- Turn Off: Press and hold the logo power button for 2 seconds on the front of the unit. The red LED light will turn on and then flash three times to indicate shutdown mode.
***PAIRING YOUR HEART RATE MONITOR**
- Turn On: Ensure your unit is turned on & charged (press and hold logo button on the front of the heart rate monitor.
- Wear Armband: You must be wearing the armband to transmit a heart rate signal to the App or device you wish to pair with.
- Pairing LED Light Signals: Once connected & paired, the blue LED light on the device will blink briefly and the green LED light will turn on to indicate the device is paired. If the unit is NOT paired a purple LED light will be showing.
Initial Set-up With Bluetooth Mobile Apps:
- Set Bluetooth on your phone to "On".
- Find the sensor settings menu in the App you are looking to pair with.
- Ensure your armband HRM is turned on.
- Select the Powr_Labs device name from the App devices available.
- The Green LED will turn on once pairing is successful. The purple LED will turn on if not paired.
Initial Set-up With ANT+ Fitness Equipment, Machines, Computers & Watches:
- Ensure your armband HRM is turned on.
- Find the sensor settings menu in the device you are looking to pair with and select "Add HR Sensor"
- Select the Powr_Labs device name from the App devices available.
- The Green LED will turn on once pairing is successful. The purple LED will turn on if not paired.
*NOTE: When pairing to group heart rate monitor workout platforms, like Orange Theory, you will need to provide the device ID printed on the back of the heart rate monitor unit.

- Apple Health *MUST have Apple Watch*: Trusted app for using an Apple Watch & Powr Labs Heart Rate Monitor to access Apple Health.

- Garmin Bike Computers: Most Garmin bike computers after 2016, with ANT+ capability, will pair with the Powr Labs heart rate monitor.
